The main objective of the article is to analyse the basic tools of management accounting in the context of their potential use in individual institutional units of the State Forests National Forest Holding. When identifying facilitating and impeding determinants, the author has indicated the possibilities of applying the instruments in question in the State Forests and after the analysis of the mission, strategy, vision, its map, functional tasks as well as organizational structure, he has ultimately defined overarching challenges of the management accounting system in the State Forests National Forest Holding.(author's abstract)
