Contemporary enterprises sprang up, grow and develop in turbulent environment, distinguished by high complexity. This paper aims to identify and analyze the determinants of growth and development of enterprises from ontological perspective. The authors put effort into understanding of efficiency of enterprises, influenced by the environment, business model and change, taking feedback into account - they will be discussed in another study that also includes practical solutions. In the article an analysis of theoretical literature and the concept of the determinants of enterprises' growth and innovative business models were used. (original abstract)
