The purpose of the chapter is to present the business model concept and its mapping in the management of healthcare units. The focus will be on the direction and development of research on the subject of business model, including health care. The following sections present the challenges faced by management team in medical entities, financial turbulences in the healthcare system and the resulting implications of reorganisation of business models of these entities.
