Abstrakty

EN

The climate changes make the Arctic more approachable. Its natural resources, mainly oil and gas, facilitated transport via sea and air routes, as well as fishery and tourism make this region attractive for not only arctic nations. In the United States this territory is defined as the US last frontier. Traditionally the US frontier during the period of the Continental expansionism was "consumed". But now in the case of the Arctic its necessary to develop the policy of the safe opening. (original abstract)

Ze względu na zmiany klimatyczne Arktyka staje się obszarem coraz bardziej dostępnym. Jej zasoby naturalne, głównie ropa i gaz, ułatwiony ruch morski i powietrzny, a także rybołówstwo i turystyka, powodują, że region pozostaje atrakcyjny gospodarczo i politycznie nie tylko dla państw arktycznych. W Stanach Zjednoczonych obszar ten określa się mianem ostatniego pogranicza, które tradycyjnie w okresie ekspansjonizmu kontynentalnego było przez USA i jego obywateli "konsumowane". Jednak w przypadku Arktyki istnieje konieczność opracowania bezpiecznej polityki otwarcia. (abstrakt oryginalny)
