The article is dedicated to Pomors - a small group of disputed ethnic status, which resides in the area of the White Sea and the Barents Sea coast, and their influence on current relations between key Arctic players - Russia and Norway. After the October Revolution, identity of this small community has been forgotten for decades, but was partially revived during perestroika period and after the fall of Soviet Union. Pomor material and spiritual culture may be regarded as a symbol and a kind of model of harmonious cooperation in the High North. Unfortunately, nowadays relations between the northern powers are dominated by competition, and Pomor heritage has become a divisive factor that various geopolitical players are trying to use for their current goals. Artykuł poświęcony jest Pomorcom - małej grupie o spornym statusie etnicznym, zamieszkującej na obszarze wybrzeża Morza Białego i Morza Barentsa, i jej wpływowi na obecne relacje między kluczowymi graczami arktycznymi - Rosją i Norwegią. Po rewolucji październikowej tożsamość tej małej społeczności została zapomniana na wiele dziesięcioleci, lecz częściowo odrodziła się w okresie pierestrojki i po upadku Związku Radzieckiego. Kultura materialna i duchowa Pomorców może być postrzegana jako symbol czy swoisty wzorzec harmonijnej współpracy na Dalekiej Północy. Niestety, dziś stosunki między północnymi mocarstwami zdominowane są przez rywalizacją, a dziedzictwo Pomorców stało się czynnikiem generującym podziały, który aktorzy geopolityczni próbują wykorzystywać dla swoich partykularnych interesów.
