Niniejsza recenzja skupia się na wkładzie Fransa Willekensa w rozwój nauk społecznych, kształcenie i promowanie kolejnych pokoleń demografów, a także na jego działalności kierowniczej i organizacyjnej na rzecz środowiska naukowego. Recenzję kończy konkluzja z rekomendacją dotyczącą nadania Profesorowi Fransowi Willekensowi tytułu doktora honoris causa przez Szkołę Główną Handlową w Warszawie (SGH), w związku z uchwałą Senatu SGH z dnia 22 listopada 2017 roku.
