Abstrakty

Turystyka dziedzictwa (ang. heritage tourism) jest jedną z najszybciej rozwijających się form turystyki na świecie. Niniejszy artykuł opiera się na analizie czterech obiektów z Listy Światowego Dziedzictwa UNESCO na Kubie: zespołu zabytkowego w Hawanie i jego systemu fortyfikacji, Trynidadu i Valle de los Ingenios, Valle de Viñales oraz zabytkowego Centrum Cienfuegos. Jego celem jest wskazanie cech turystyki dziedzictwa na Kubie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem wybranych przypadków. W pierwszej części artykułu autorzy na podstawie dostępnej literatury międzynarodowej rozważają termin, jakim jest turystyka dziedzictwa i prezentują dwie perspektywy badawcze. W drugiej przedstawiają specyfikę turystyki na Kubie oraz jej ewolucję na przestrzeni dekad. W trzeciej części autorzy dokonują charakterystyki czterech wybranych obiektów z Listy UNESCO. Z analizy wynika, że wybrane obiekty różnią się miedzy sobą pod kątem cech turystyki dziedzictwa. Artykuł w dużej mierze oparty został na badaniach i obserwacjach terenowych przeprowadzonych przez autorów na Kubie w maju 2018 roku. (abstrakt oryginalny)

Heritage tourism is one of the fastest growing branches of tourism in the world. This article is based on the analysis of four UNESCO World Heritage sites in Cuba: Old Havana and its Fortification System, Trinidad and the Valley de los Ingenios, Viñales Valley and Urban Historic Centre of Cienfuegos. Its objective is to indicate the features of heritage tourism in Cuba, with particular emphasis on the selected cases. In the first part of the article, the authors, on the basis of available international literature, consider the term heritage tourism and present two research perspectives. In the second one, they show the characteristic of tourism in Cuba and its evolution over decades. In the third part, the authors describe four selected UNESCO World Heritage sites. The analysis shows that selected sites differ in terms of the features of heritage tourism. The article was largely based on research and field observations conducted by the authors in Cuba in May 2018. (original abstract)
