Opracowanie składa z dwóch części: teoretycznej i empirycznej. W pierwszej z nich, na podstawie krytycznej analizy literatury światowej, wyjaśniono pojęcie i istotę kosmopolityzmu konsumenckiego. Natomiast druga, zasadnicza część pracy ma charakter empiryczny. Podstawę wnioskowania stanowi materiał badawczy pozyskany dzięki przeprowadzonym przez autora badaniom w formie wywiadu kwestionariuszowego wśród młodych konsumentów. (original abstract)
Globalisation of consumption has contributed to the rise of a global consumption culture by expanding similar consumption patterns. Homogenisation of consumption has detraditionalised consumption, meaning that the role of local, family traditions and customs has decreased in consumer behaviour. This consumer trend is conducive to the development of cosmopolitan attitudes among today's consumers. The article seeks to identify young people's cosmopolitan attitudes and behaviours. The study consists of two parts: theoretical and empirical. The first one explains the concept and essence of consumer cosmopolitanism, building upon a critical analysis of world literature. The second, major part is empirical. The basis for conclusions is provided by the research material collected by means of a questionnaire-based survey that the author conducted among young consumers.
