Abstrakty

The impact of new technologies on current business reality is so strong that is it widely accepted to call it a new paradigm in the economy. The pace of changes as well as common access to information increase the value of intangible assets and make them the key source of competitive advantage. Due to them it also impossible to achieve that within a single organization. A long term innovation is only possible under a certain level of openness, absorptive capacity and relational learning. Therefore the aim of this paper is to summarize the current knowledge on the open innovation model and its implications for businesses. (original abstract)
