Abstrakty

Celem badań było uzyskanie odpowiedzi na pytanie: Jak wiek różnicuje sytuację zdrowotno-społeczną i poziom zapotrzebowania na profesjonalną opiekę wśród pacjentów chorych na cukrzycę na poziomie podstawowej opieki zdrowotnej? Badania dla celów pracy przeprowadzono na podstawie: • ukierunkowanego wywiadu pielęgniarskiego, drogą którego uzyskano od pacjentów informacje na temat: miejsca zamieszkania, stanu cywilnego, źródła utrzymania, wykształcenia, dolegliwości w sferze zdrowia psychosomatycznego, funkcjonowania społecznego, znajomości wskaźników zdrowia istotnych w leczeniu cukrzycy, poziomu wiedzy o chorobie, udziału w leczeniu, zachowań zdrowotnych wymaganych w leczeniu cukrzycy, sytuacji socjalno-bytowej; • relatywnej oceny sprawności i samodzielności pacjentów; • anonimowej ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród pacjentów, pozwalającej na uzyskanie informacji na temat: satysfakcji z opieki, udziału w leczeniu, życia, funkcjonowania społecznego, opieki rodziny, efektów leczenia. The aim of the research was to find out how age influences health and social situation and demand for professional care among patients with diabetes at the level of basic health care. The research was conducted within the framework of KBN project no. 6P05D02320, among 1986 patients from 61 randomly selected basic health care centres in Poland. Majority of the patients with diabetes were over 65 years of age (58.9%). Statistical analysis showed a relation between the age of patients and the level of knowledge about the disease (p<0.0001), participation in treatment (p<0.001), hygienic behaviours (p<0.0001), oral hygiene (p<0.00000), self-control (p<0.0001), BMI index (p<0.0001), WHR (p<0.0001), blood pressure (p<0.0001). Age significantly influences the health and social situation of patients with diabetes as well as their demand for care. (original abstract)
