Abstrakty

Celem niniejszego rozdziału jest próba określenia związku pomiędzy poziomem napływu bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych do afrykańskich regionalnych wspólnot gospodarczych a poziomem ich PKB. Autorzy postawili następującą hipotezę badawczą: wartość inwestycji bezpośrednich i poziom PKB w afrykańskich ugrupowaniach integracyjnych wykazują silną korelację, gdzie poziom inwestycji jest zmienną niezależną, a wielkość PKB  zmienną zależną. W badaniu zastosowano metodę analizy współzależności zjawisk (współczynnik korelacji Pearsona). (fragment tekstu)

The subject of discussion in this article is the assessment of the impact of foreign direct investments on the GDP of regional economic communities in Africa. The RECs are becoming more and more attractive to direct investors and FDI is an important factor in supporting not only economic growth but also socio-economic development in the long term. The aim of the article is to determine the relationship between the level of inflow of foreign direct investments to African regional economic communities and the level of their GDP. The authors put the following research hypothesis: the value of direct investments and the level of GDP in African integration groups shows a strong correlation, where the level of investment is an independent variable, and the size of GDP  a dependent variable.
