Abstrakty

W artykule opisano kwestie związane z dostępnością, poborem i zużyciem wody w rolnictwie. Znaczenie wody dla sektora rolnego jest kluczowe, jednakże rolnicy nie przywiązują dużej wagi do tego zasobu i traktują wodę jako dobro wolne, niemające żadnej wartości. Zmiany dostępności, skali poboru i śladu wodnego wskazują, że gospodarka wodna staje się coraz większym problemem i należy poświęcić jej więcej uwagi, niezależnie od tego, że porównanie danych statystycznych wskazuje, że zużycie wody w polskim rolnictwie jest jednym z najniższych wśród krajów Unii Europejskiej. Jednakże wciąż jest ono wysokie w stosunku do posiadanych zasobów wodnych. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The article describes issues related to the availability, abstraction and consumption of water in agriculture. The signifi cance of water for the sector is crucial. Howev-er, farmers do not put much attention to it and treat water as a free good without any value. Changes in availability, volume of abstraction and the water footprint point out that water is a growing problem in Poland and more attention should be paid to it. Although water consumption in Polish agriculture is one of the lowest among European Union countries it is still high in comparison to water resources. Additionally, the problem of the quality of data related to water was analyzed in the article. The available data are fragmentary and often based on estimates, rather than on actual calculation. This applies to virtually all European countries. (original abstract)
