Wiele badań w dziedzinie nauk ekonomicznych analizowało związek między produktywnością a płacami. Komisja Europejska dyskutowała ostatnio także o możliwości stworzenia europejskiej płacy minimalnej, aby zbliżyć nominalną konwergencję do realnej konwergencji. Ponieważ płaca minimalna jest prawnie ustalona i istnieją kraje bez tej koncepcji oraz wyższych dochodów i stawek płac, czy istnieje bezpośredni związek z wydajnością? Czy rządy powinny ustalić minimalną płacę, czy powinny ją określać rynki? (abstrakt oryginalny)

Many studies in the scientific fields of economic and business sciences have analyzed the relationship between productivity and wages. The European Commission has also recently discussed the possibility of creating a European minimum wage to bring nominal convergence closer to real convergence. Since the minimum wage is a legal determination and there are countries without this concept and higher income and wage rates, is there a direct relationship with productivity? Should Governments set a minimum wage or should it be determined by the markets? (original abstract)
