The development of the tourism sector in response to new trends mean that the number of visitors is constantly increasing. This leads to the emergence of tourism innovations, such as the sharing economy, and phenomena like overtourism, which have been investigated in the growing number of studies in recent years. This article aims to analyse the treatment of the sharing economy in articles addressing the problem of overtourism by reviewing the scientific literature on the subject included in the Scopus database. The analysis focuses on articles that address both issues. (original abstract)
