Niniejszy szkic prezentuje w ujęciu chronologicznym powstanie i ewolucję programów informacyjnych w pierwszym i drugim programie Telewizji Polskiej. Z przyczyn oczywistych najwięcej miejsca zajmuje wątek głównego wydania "Dziennika Telewizyjnego", najbardziej kontrowersyjnego programu TYP, najgłośniejszej "tuby" propagandy PRL. Artykuł powstał w oparciu o dokumenty Sekretariatu KC PZPR, archiwa cenzury, roczniki tygodników "Radio i Telewizja", "Ekran", wydawnictw specjalistycznych takich jak: "Biuletyn telewizyjny" i "Aktualności radiowo-telewizyjne" oraz wspomnień dziennikarzy(fragment tekstu)
"Dziennik Telewizyjny" (Television News), the best known evening informational program, for over 30 years presented information and opinions in accordance with the expectations of the party decision makers (United Polish Workers Party). Due to the official supremacy and its monopolistic position, the evening edition was watched by between ten to twenty million viewers. As such, the program was the only or the main source of information and commentary for the majority of Poles. It shaped their views and contentions. This article presents the role and specifics of the main edition of the program in the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's. It also presents the formal and thematic structure of other informational components broadcast on public television channels one and two from 1958 - 1989. It also calls attention to the connection between the concept of the program, its essential content and the political situation at home and abroad.(original abstract)
