Abstrakty

Miasto jako przestrzeń wymiany jest strukturą, w której nakładają się trajektorie i odmienne sposoby użytkowania tego samego obszaru. Miejska przestrzeń wymiany może mieć różną intensywność wykorzystania przez użytkowników (mieszkańców i przybyszów), warunkują to jej atrybuty (wyposażenie, organizacja, walory) oraz cechy miasta (lokalizacja, geneza, wielkość, pozycja ekonomiczna, struktura społeczna). Turystyka kulturowa jest stałym elementem eksploracji przestrzeni wymiany na świecie ponieważ od początków istnienia miasta wykorzystują obecność odwiedzających jako element gospodarki lokalnej i rozwoju społecznego. Wizytowanie miast jest złożonym, wieloaspektowym przejawem ruchu turystycznego, szybko zmieniającym się w czasie. Na podstawie własnych badań terenowych realizowanych w sierpniu 2018 analizowane są relacje występujące w miejskiej przestrzeni wymiany w kontekście cech jej struktury oraz sposobów i konsekwencji jej wykorzystania przez turystów w trzech miastach w Kanadzie: Quebec City, Montrealu i Toronto. Podstawowym zagadnieniem jest kwestia: w jakim stopniu organizacja przestrzeni wymiany, walory kulturowe oraz proces zarządzania terytorialnego w tych miastach warunkują zrównoważony sposób ich użytkowania przez odwiedzających, a tym samym umożliwiają minimalizowanie pojawienia się konfliktów w tejże przestrzeni. The city as a space of exchange is a structure in which exist trajectories and different ways of using the same area. The urban space of exchange can present different intensity of use by different groups (residents and newcomers), and it is determined by its attributes (equipment, organization, values) and city features (location, origin, size, economic position, social structure). Cultural tourism is an integral part of the exploration of the urban space around the world, as cities have used the presence of visitors as part of their local economy and social development since their inception. Visiting cities is a complex, multi-faceted manifestation of tourism, changing rapidly over time. On the basis of own field research carried out in situ in August 2018, the relations occurring in the urban space of exchange are identified in three cities in Canada: Quebec City, Montreal and Toronto. The analysis concerns the context of the features of its structure and the ways and consequences of its use by tourists. The main issue is: to what extent the organization of urban space of exchange, cultural values and the territorial management process in these cities determine their sustainable use by visitors, and thus enable the minimization of conflicts in that space.
