Abstrakty

Pojęcie równowagi organizacyjnej stanowi dziś nie kwestionowane leksykalne wyposażenie teorii organizacji i zarządzania. Warto jednak zastanowić się nad drogami, jakimi szedł transfer pojęcia równowagi do naszej dyscypliny naukowej i podjąć próbę wyjaśnienia, czy czegoś "po drodze" nie zgubiono. Chciałbym to wyrazić inaczej: w sporze o podstawy naukowe (a przecież dyskusje nad sensem, treścią i zasadnością jakiegoś pojęcia do takich należą) pierwsze rozstrzygnięcia powinny zapadać w obszarze metodologii, a dopiero później konkretnych znaczeń.(fragment tekstu)

The notion of organizational balance is nowadays a significant element of the language of the theory of organization and management. The author assumes that the notion of ''organizational balance' is meta-disciplinary and it focuses in itself different interpretations resulting from different points of reference applied by particular disciplines. This notion is defines on the level of meta-language whose closest source for the theory of organization and management is the theory of systems. Terminological problems connected with the notion of ''organizational balance" are associated with indefiniteness and probalistic nature of the reality surrounding us; the more operational, strict or universal notions one tries to use while describing phenomena, the less one respects a really universal law of the balance of variety as formulated by W. R. Ashby (in this case, what is meant, is variety of organizations, science and the language we use to describe it). Having conducted the analysis of the conditionings of the notion of "organizational balance", the author presents his own considerations on the energetic concept of organizational balance, closing them with conclusions about the concept of organizational balance itself, limits of this balance and the ways to counteract the threats to balance represented in the organization.(original abstract)
