This paper is dedicated to the idea of conflict prevention which is a tool of the preservation of peace and the maintaining of the World's secure. The main purpose of this work consists in the analysis of the practice of conflict prevention in the different cases. The premise of the research is the UN prevention mechanisms, particularly the Security Council resolutions and the reports of the Secretary-General on this issue. Likewise, I have addressed to a number of high-level international commitments to the idea of conflict prevention which work with the different success. As a result I have come to the conclusion which is based on the need of the UN transformation as well as the abolition of a double standard policy is a vital task. (original abstract)
