Abstrakty

Skargi na własną pamięć są często zgłaszane podczas kontaktu psychologicznego/wywiadu medycznego. Ich przyczyny są jednak zróżnicowane i niejasna jest wartość diagnostyczna. Skargi mogą być powiązane z rzeczywistym pogorszeniem pamięci, ale często też z czynnikami emocjonalnymi i społecznymi. Doniesienia wskazują, że kobiety częściej wskazują na osłabienie swojej pamięci. Dane nie są jednak konkluzywne. W badaniach uczestniczyło 65 osób dorosłych, w tym 40 kobiet i 25 mężczyzn w wieku od 40-76 roku życia. Subiektywna ocena własnej pamięci była oceniana eksperymentalną wersją Memory Functioning Questionnaire. Wykorzystane zostały także metody do oceny nasilenia cech emocjonalnych (stanu i cechy) oraz wybranych funkcji poznawczych. Nie wykazano różnic pomiędzy kobietami i mężczyznami w ocenie własnych kompetencji pamięciowych. Jedynie w skali wymagającej porównania aktualnych możliwości z wcześniejszymi (np. w porównaniu do roku wcześniej aż do czasów młodości) kobiety istotnie niżej oceniają swą sprawność. Emocjonalność (cecha/stan) determinują opinie o własnej pamięci w obydwu grupach. (abstrakt oryginalny)

Complaints on own memory are often reported during psychological/medical contact. However, their reasons are different and the role in psychological (clinical) diagnosis is unclear. Complaints may be related to the actual deterioration of memory, but often also to the emotional and social factors. Reports indicate that women are more likely point to a weakening of his memory. However, the data are not conclusive. The study involved 65 adults, including 40 women and 25 men aged 40-76 years. Subjective assessment of own memory was assessed an experimental version of the Memory Functioning Questionnaire (MFQ). Other methods have been used to assess the level of emotional features (state and trait), and some cognitive functions. There were no differences between men and women in the assessment of own memory. However, compared to men, women significantly worse assess their current memory competencies as compared to the earlier of their possibilities (eg. year earlier to his youth). Emotionality (state/trait) is a significant predictor of the severity of memory complaints in both groups. (original abstract)
