Abstrakty

Według Światowej Organizacji Zdrowia WHO (World Health Organization) jakość ochrony zdrowia jest jednym z najważniejszych priorytetów. Biorąc pod uwagę szczególną sytuacji życiową osób starszych nie sposób pomijać ogromnego wpływu jakości opieki zdrowotnej na postrzeganą przez tych ludzi jakość życia. Sytuacja życiowa ludzi starszych powinna być obiektem zainteresowania władz, instytucji publicznych, a także opinii społecznej i ośrodków opiniotwórczych. W opracowaniu przedstawiono wybrane koncepcje modeli jakości życia: Veenhovena oraz Browna. Modele te mogą być zastosowane do pomiaru jakości życia w odniesieniu do ludzi starszych. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) the quality of health care is one of the most important priorities. Taking into account the specific life situation of of the elderly it is impossible to ignore the huge impact of the quality of health care on quality of life perceived by these people. Life situation of older people should be of interest to the authorities, public institutions, as well as the general public and opinion leaders. The paper presents selected concepts of quality of life models: Veenhoven's model and Brown's model. These models can be used to measure the quality of life of older people. (original abstract)
