Spółka Poldanor w 1994 r. wydzierżawiła kilka nieruchomości po byłych PGR w powiecie człuchowskim i z powodzeniem odtworzyła funkcje produkcyjne i społeczne realizowane wcześniej przez te gospodarstwa. W artykule omówiono genezę Spółki Poldanor, charakterystykę jej produkcji, wydajność pracy, efekty finansowe, zarządzanie zasobami ludzkimi oraz współpracę Poldanor z otoczeniem.

In the beginning of 1990s, after collapse of Berlin Wall and after liquidation of public agricultural sector in Poland, a group of Danish farmers decided to lease a few agricultural units from the Polish State Agency of Agricultural Property with an intention to build up a modern efficient and competitive agricultural enterprise. After 14 years, Poldanor S.A. with headquarters in Przechlewo, has become a large-scale agricultural operation with a complementary production: growing crops on more than 13 000 ha of land, own feed production, pig production in more than 20 pig farms, additionally developing production of renewable energy by utilizing biomass. The Company has become a leader in the sector of pig producers in Poland, both with regard to production efficiency and generated financial output. With respect to areas such as management of human resources and building up relations with local societies, the Company constitutes a positive example to follow. The features describing Poldanor S.A. and determining its strong position are: high quality products, stable and big deliveries of agricultural products, always fulfilling contractual obligations, efficient and professional customer service, reliability, care of working conditions and the development of workers, integrating the enterprise with the local community and responsible attitude to the natural environment. Operating in more than 30 units spread in 18 communes in Pomerania, West Pomerania and Wielkopolskie voivodships, Poldanor S.A. has exerted a positive effect on reconstructing of the production potential left there after liquidation of former state-run farms. Parallelly, the Company carried out some of the social and cultural functions attributed to the former state-run farms, thus supporting the process of activation of the people living in these regions.
