Abstrakty

Muzyka oraz - w szerszym wymiarze - sztuki performatywne są ważną częścią niematerialnego dziedzictwa kulturowego. Praktyki muzyczne są uważane zarówno za ważne zasoby kulturowe wymagające ochrony [Sweers, Ross 2020], jak też domenę kultury szczególnie narażoną na praktyki eksponowania (cultural display) i wystawiania na pokaz [Acciaioli 1985]. W tym artykule analizuję trudne relacje pomiędzy muzyką jako niematerialnym dziedzictwem kulturowym oraz turystyką, odgrywającą niebagatelną rolę w promowaniu, ale również w powstawaniu niepożądanych zmian w muzyce lokalnej/tradycyjnej. Niezwykle istotna jest tu polityka kulturalna państwa jako jednej z najbardziej wpływowych sił w kształtowaniu relacji pomiędzy niematerialnym dziedzictwem a turystyką oraz w determinowaniu przejawów dziedzictwa, podlegających promocji na arenie krajowej i międzynarodowej. Do refleksji nad związkami muzyki i turystyki posłużą przykłady indonezyjskich sztuk performatywnych znajdujących się na listach niematerialnego dziedzictwa kulturowego UNESCO. (abstrakt oryginalny)

Music and - more broadly - the performing arts are an important part of intangible cultural heritage. Musical practices are considered both an important cultural resource in need of protection [Sweers, Ross 2020] and a cultural domain particularly vulnerable to practices of cultural display and exhibition [Acciaioli 1985]. In this article, I analyze the difficult relationship between music as intangible cultural heritage and tourism, which plays a significant role in promoting, but also in generating undesirable changes in local/traditional music. Especially important here is the cultural policy of the state as one of the most influential forces in shaping the relationship between intangible heritage and tourism and in determining which manifestations of heritage are subject to promotion nationally and internationally. Examples of Indonesian performing arts on UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage lists will be used to reflect on the relationship between music and tourism. (original abstract)
