Our research seeks to answer the question of what motivates a family business to fulfil ethical expectations of CSR. The stakeholder theory, the theory of socio-emotional wealth, and the theoretical framework of responsible ownership are relied upon to interpret the findings. The study covers two dimensions of CSR: the issues of social and environmental responsibility. The main contribution of the paper is that it provides an insight into the motivations behind different participant behaviours and the background of their decisions.(original abstract)
