The latest constitutional amendment in Greece was concluded in November 2019, when the relevant special parliamentary resolution was published in the Government Gazette. Among the provisions revised, a new paragraph was added to Article 73 of the Constitution, regarding the privilege to introduce bills, granting this right to citizens. The aim of this paper is to examine this newly established institution of participatory democracy from a human rights perspective, since it theoretically introduces a new political right to the Greek legal order. This study will focus on the constitutionally set requirements for its application. In the end, useful conclusions will be drawn on the quality of the institution as inserted in the Constitution of Greece, and problems will be identified that should be considered in the future.(original abstract)

Ostatnia zmiana Konstytucji w Grecji została dokonana w listopadzie 2019 r., gdy w "Gazecie Rządowej" została opublikowana specjalna uchwała parlamentu. Wśród zmienionych przepisów został dodany nowy paragraf do art. 73 Konstytucji, dotyczący prawa inicjatywy ustawodawczej przyznanego obywatelom. Celem artykułu jest dokonanie analizy tej nowej instytucji demokracji przedstawicielskiej z perspektywy praw człowieka, ponieważ teoretycznie wprowadza ona do greckiego porządku prawnego nowe prawo polityczne. Badanie to koncentruje się na konstytucyjnych przesłankach zastosowania go. Na zakończenie przedstawiono użyteczne konkluzje dotyczące jakości tej wprowadzonej do Konstytucji Grecji instytucji i wskazano problemy, które powinny być rozważone w przyszłości.(abstrakt oryginalny)
