Nieustannie zmieniające się warunki rynkowe i rosnąca konkurencja wymuszają na przedsiębiorstwach dążenie do systematycznego doskonalenia realizowanych w nich procesów. Jedną z koncepcji wspomagających zarządzanie w dynamicznym otoczeniu jest Lean Management, umożliwiająca między innymi ograniczanie do minimum marnotrawstwa w firmie, zmniejszanie popełniania błędów, liczby pojawiających się awarii i tym samym osiąganie lepszej efektywności ekonomicznej. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie zasad wdrażania oraz zastosowanie Lean Management na przykładzie przedsiębiorstwa XYZ.(fragment tekstu)

The subject of consideration in this chapter is the analysis of the Professional Maintenance pillar and the Autonomous Maintenance pillar in the "XYZ" company. The company bases its Lean philosophy on the WCM - World Class Manufacturing tool. As a brief explanation, WCM is a project based on the TPS (Toyota Production System) philosophy and the broadly understood Lean Manufacturing philosophy. The system is very formalized and is based on 10 technical pillars. Each pillar is based on a gigantic work that needs to be done, which is divided into steps (each pillar has its precisely defined 7 steps). Then, the progress of implementation of each pillar is assessed during control audits (internal and external). On this basis, each of the pillars receives points which, when summed up, give a complete picture of the advancement of the World Class Manufacturing implementation in a given factory. In fact, the basics of this system can be briefly described as: elimination of losses in the process of delivering the product to the customer, from the suppliers to the customer's warehouse.(original abstract)
