It is extraordinarily difficult to effectively predict the future of the labor market, including the identification of new professions and new job positions. These challenges are linked to changes in the organizational environment that are difficult to foresee and are referred to as VUCA (V - volatility, U - uncertainty, C - complexity, A - ambiguity) (Bennett, and Lemoine, 2014) or even more so BANI (B - brittle, A - anxious, N - non-linear, I - incomprehensible) (Cascio, 2023). This gives birth to concrete consequences for employers. It is not only a matter of developing a strategy for the organization that might make possible survival in unforeseeable times and periods of crises, specifically about teaching employees how to manage themselves (and their work) in the midst of such shifting circumstances.
