Abstrakty

Procesy urbanistyczne w Polsce, Czechosłowacji i Niemieckiej Republice Demokratycznej mają wiele wspólnych, charakterystycznych cech, różniących je od procesów przebiegających w innych krajach. Wynika to między innymi z położenia geograficznego tych państw oraz ze szczególnych warunków, w jakich przebiegał ich społeczno-polityczny i gospodarczy rozwój. Dlatego też w artykule dokonano analizy porównawczej rozwoju społecznego trzech wybranych socjalistycznych miast tych krajów, a mianowicie: Krakowa, Bratysławy i Lipska za lata 1960-1980 w zakresie ludności, zatrudniania i warunków życia ludności. The article constitutes an analytical elaboration of social development of the three socialist towns: Krakow, Leipzig sad Bratislava in the period 1960-1980. The elaboration consists of three parts, the first part deals with the analysis of the structure and dynamics of population as well as with the territorial expansion of the investigated towns. The next part is devoted to the Investigation of employment la the economies of Krakow, Bratislava and Leipzig in the period 1960-1980. The third part includes a description of living conditions of the population of the cities under investigation. On the basis of statistical materials obtained in Statistical Offices a comparative analysis has been conducted of housing and amneties, health care and social protection as well as science, education, culture and art la the period of 20 years. The present elaboration baa been illustrated with seven diagrams presenting the p roblems under investigation. (original abstract)
