Abstrakty

Zapotrzebowanie na nowoczesne systemy automatyzacji pracy biurowej (Office Information Automation Systems - taka nazwę przyjęło się stosować dla biurowych systemów informacyjnych), istnieje wszędzie - w przemyśle, administracji i w nauce. Pojawia się ono i wzrasta w związku z dużą efektywnością i wydajnością tych systemów w warunkach coraz większej ilości informacji, z jakiej korzystać muszą pracownicy różnych instytucji. In the article the premises were presented accounting fo the necessity of applying computers to automation of office operations. A computer would serve as a means of making more efficient the operations that were previously performed mainly "manually". Every function of automation of systems was analysed taking into account costs and time of different tasks. Classes of tools supporting office work were defined and a hardware-softwere environment for each tool was specified. "Services" offered by these tools were described as well. The article was ended with the discussion of constraints of development of office automation systems. (original abstract)
