Abstrakty

W ciągu ostatniego trzydziestolecia nastąpiły w krajach wysoko rozwiniętych znaczące przemiany struktur i procesów demograficznych. Obserwowany w tych państwach spadek płodności, zapoczątkowany w latach 1960., przyczynił się do znacznego przyspieszenia wzrostu udziału osób starszych wśród ogółu ludności. Wspomniany proces zwany jest procesem starzenia się ludności. Nastąpiło także starzenie się zasobów pracy, tj. zwiększanie się liczby i udziału osób w wieku 45-65 lat wśród osób, które potencjalnie byłyby w stanie podjąć pracę. Z tego wynika wzrost znaczenia aktywności zawodowej osób starszych, pojmowanych tutaj jako osoby w wieku powyżej 55 lat(abstrakt oryginalny)

The labour force participation of persons aged 45 and over diminished markedly since 1970 in developed countries. By the use of the period-cohortage approach different factors influencing that change are discussed. Development of social security system, structural changes in the economy and population changes, shifts in values and norms, education progress, improvements in mortality, health care and health status and government's policy are responding to changes in the labour market. Some considerations on expected futurę behaviour of that group of the labour force are presented as well. (original abstract)
