The article presents the mission, structure and tasks of the body recognised (European cooperation for Accreditation - the EA), the rights and obligations of the EA members and other stakeholders cooperating with the EA. Then presents the list of all EA members (the national accreditation bodies) and discusses their activity. It also describes in general the conformity assessment syste m, under which operate: the body recognised, the national accreditation bodies and the conformity assessment bodies accredited by them, as well as the standards under which they operate. The conclusions identified the importance of bodies presented in the functioning of the European Union. It results primarily from the law which orders the mutual recognition of the decisions that are taken by them. (original abstract)

W artykule przedstawiono misję, strukturę i zadania jednostki uznanej (Europejskiej Współpracy w Dziedzinie Akredytacji - EA), prawa i obowiązki członków EA i innych podmiotów współpracujących z EA. Następnie zaprezentowano listę wszystkich członków EA (krajowych jednostek kredytujących) oraz omówiono ich działalność. Przedstawiono także w sposób ogólny system oceny zgodności, w którym działają: jednostka uznana, krajowe jednostki akredytujące oraz akredytowane przez nie jednostki oceniające zgodność, a także normy, zgodnie z którymi działają. We wnioskach wskazano na duże znaczenie przedstawionych jednostek w funkcjonowaniu Unii Europejskiej. Wynika ono przede wszystkim z nakazanej prawem wzajemnej uznawalności decyzji, które są przez nie podejmowane. (abstrakt oryginalny)
