Abstrakty
W pierwszej części artykułu przeanalizowano złożenia ekonomicznej integracji w okresie powojennym. Zdaniem autorki, główną przyczyną powstawania makroregionalnych ugrupowań integracyjnych była dezintegracja gospodarki światowej w okresie międzywojennym oraz załamanie się handlu w skali ogólnoświatowej. Główny temat artykłu dotyczył jednak teoretycznych aspektów integracji. Autorka omówiła efekty utworzenia stref wolnego handlu charakterystyczne także dla wyższych form ugrupowań integracyjnych (efekt kreacji, efekt odwrócenia handlu, efekt odchylenia handlu). Na podstawie rozważań o warunkach tworzenia, istocie i efektach stref wolnego handlu autorka starała się odpowiedzieć na pytania: czy istnieją potrzeba i warunki do tworzenia stref wolnego handlu, czy strefy wolnego handlu są tylko formą przejściową do wyższych form ugrupowań integracyjnych i czy obie te formy nie hamują liberalizacji handlu światowego w skali globalnej.
In the first part of the study the grounds of economic integration in the postwar period are considered. The authoress points out, that the main cause of creating the macroregional economic groups was the desintegration of the world economy in the interwar period and its negative influence on the division of labour on the worlwide scale resulting the collapse of the international trade. The main subject of the study are the theoretical aspects of the intgration processes. The authoress consideres the main forms of the integration grouping, especially the free trade areas (associations, agreements) and their different effects (trade creation effect, trade diversion effect and trade deflection effect) in the context of existing, "real" free trade areas in the contemporary world economy. She points out the adventages of the free trade areas and the prospectives for creating such forms of integrating groups in different continents and intercontinental scale. (original abstract)
