Przedmiotem opracowania jest problematyka uwarunkowań rozwojowych Afryki Subsaharyjskiej w XXI wieku. Omówiono w nim ekonomiczną pozycję krajów ASS oraz uwarunkowania rozwojowe, takie jak: demografia, BIZ, zasoby naturalne, czynniki instytucjonalne. Ostatni fragment dotyczy barier rozwojowych ASS. The article studies determinants of development of the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) in the XXI century. The author discusses the economical position of the SSA countries, determinants of their development such as: demography, FDI, natural resources, institutional factors. The last part concerns barriers to development of SSA. (original abstract)
