Abstrakty

W artykule zanalizowano skalę i sposoby zaangażowania kapitału zagranicznego w formie inwestycji bezpośrednich w restrukturyzacji przedsiębiorstw w Polsce. Przebadano przemiany o charakterze jakościowym w procesie restukturyzacji własnościowej, w sferze organizacji, zarządzania i zatrudnienia, w sferze produkcji (nowe technologie i standardy produkcji, dostosowania produktowe), zmiany metod zarządzania jakością, w działalności inwestycyjnej, w majątku produkcyjnym i dostosowaniach rynkowych.

Political and economic transformation in Poland after 1989 exerted significant influence on the sphere of economic relations with foreign countries. One of the objectives of the transformation was to open our country to foreign investments, facilitating the structural transformation of Polish enterprises. Due to the shortage of the home means for investment financing, the Polish enterprises turn to the foreign capital. Therefore, the aim of the article is to present changes in the Polish enterprises resulting from the fact that the foreign capital in the form of direct investments is engaged in them. The sphere of changes under observation includes such processes as: ownership restructuring, changes in the sphere of organisation, management and employment, changes in the sphere of production, changes in quality management methods, investment activity and changes in production assets as well as market adjustments. Attention is also paid to the improved economic-financial condition, increase of economic effectiveness and improved competitiveness of the enterprises. Materials and information obtained from several selected Polish enterprises operating in various economic spheres are an empirical basis for the considerations. The analysis of changes in the selected companies makes it possible to state that thanks to the foreign capital being engaged in theis activity, economic effectiveness of those enterprises has significantly increased and their competitiveness has considerably improved.
