Abstrakty

W artykule dokonano analizy wpływu fuzji i przejęć w polskim sektorze bankowym na kondycję uczestniczących w nich banków. Badanie nie wykazało znacznej poprawy kondycji finansowej banków w rezultacie procesów konsolidacyjnych. Jedyną wyraźnie zauważalną tendencją jest wzrost wartości wskaźnika pieniężnej wydajności kapitału własnego, zarówno w wartościach bezwzględnych, jak i w porównaniu z poziomem tego wskaźnika uzyskiwanego przez pozostałe banki, które nie uczestniczyły w fuzjach i przejęciach.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The article presents an analysis of the influence of mergers and takeovers in the Polish banking sector upon the financial performance of the participating banks. The research indicates no significant improvement of the financial performance of the banks, resulting from the consolidation processes. The only clearly noticeable trend is the increased value of the cash efficiency of equity capital ratio, both in terms of absolute values, and in comparison with the level of the ratio achieved by other banks, not participating in mergers and takeovers.(original abstract)
