W opracowaniu przedstawiono teorie ekonomiczne ujmujące zagraniczne inwestycje bezpośrednie jako zjawisko finansowe. Omówiono teorie: międzynarodowego przepływu kapitału, międzynarodowego zróżnicowania stóp zysku, dywersyfikacji portfela inwestycyjnego i obszarów walutowych.

The present article discusses the most important theories explaining FDI from a financial perspective, namely, theories dealing with the international transfer of capital, international differences in risk levels, the diversification of investment portfolios and currency zones.
