Gospodarstwa domowe w Polsce w coraz szerszym zakresie wykorzystują rynek kredytowy do finansowania swoich planów konsumpcyjnych. W analizie wykorzystano modele regresji kwantylowej. Households in Poland increasingly use the credit market to finance their consumption plans. This is reflected in the level of burdens on their budgets by credit repayments. The amount of repayments is an important part of the budget not only for the maintenance of household liquidity, but also for the level of consumer spending, which determines the ability to meet needs in the long run. The main goal of the study is to assess the impact of socio-economic characteristics of households on repayment of debt. Quantile regression models were used in the analysis. All calculations was made using unidentified data from household budget survey conducted by the Central Statistical Office in 2015. Results reveal that, depending on the level of debt repayments, the same socio-economic characteristics of households determine the amount of repayments with different directions and intensity.
