Abstrakty
Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przedstawienie najważniejszych założeń leżących u podstaw koncepcji organizacji opartej na Business Intelligence, a zwłaszcza jej celów i korzyści, jakie może oferować swoim pracownikom, decydentom, klientom oraz całemu otoczeniu. Tak sformułowanemu celowi badawczemu podporządkowano strukturę artykułu. Na wstępie dokonano przeglądu literatury przedmiotu na temat istoty systemów BI. Następnie nawiązano do modeli dojrzałości BI, które pozwalają wyjaśniać, jak należy rozwijać BI w organizacjach, aby osiągać z tego rozmaite korzyści biznesowe. Rozważania teoretyczne na temat BI dały podstawę do zaproponowania ogólnych założeń leżących u podstaw modelu organizacji opartej na BI. Na koniec, wykorzystując metodę studium przypadku, przeanalizowano cztery wybrane firmy wpisujące się w ideę organizacji opartej na BI. Przedstawiono najważniejsze korzyści wynikające ze stosowania systemów BI. Opracowanie może być pomocne dla naukowców, menedżerów, praktyków, którzy zajmują się problematyką systemów BI, a zwłaszcza ich planowaniem, wdrażaniem i udoskonalaniem w organizacjach. The main aim of the paper is to present the most important assumptions of the Business Intelligence-based organization. For this, an overview of literature about the issue of the Business Intelligence systems and Business Intelligence maturity models was made. Then, the concept of BI-based organization and its primary objectives were presented. Finally, based on the method of case study, four different BI-based organizations were analyzed. The most important benefits for the organizations from applying Business Intelligence were described. (original abstract)
