Abstrakty

Przedmiotem artykułu są przekształcenia strukturalne turystycznej bazy noclegowej województwa krakowskiego. Oceny tych przekształceń dokonano w oparciu o zmiany ilości obiektów noclegowych, miejsc noclegowych, ilości udzielonych noclegów, osób z nich korzystających z uwzględnieniem turystów krajowych i zagranicznych. Zwrócono również uwagę na strukturę rodzajową miejsc noclegowych.

The process of integration observed in the E.E.C. countries creates for countries of Central and Eastern Europe an opportunity of expanding tourism. The 90s confronted the Polish tourism with a new economic-political and legal status and provide a genuine opportunity for transforming the tourist industry in such a way as to suit its local and regional character. In the present article changes in the functioning of tourism at a regional level were analyzed, taking the Province of Kraków as an example. Attention was focused on the accommodation base, transformation of the type of premises, rate of use as well as changes in the form of ownership. In the city as well as in the Province of Kraków, despite the changes that are taking place, the share of the tourist business in the economy of the region is out of proportion if one considers their tourist attractiveness and the material resources.
