Abstrakty
W artykule przedstawiono wykorzystanie koncepcji uzupełniania zapasów VMI (ang. vendor managed inventory). Koncepcja ta odnosi się do przypadku, kiedy dostawca analizuje stany magazynowe swoich klientów i sam podejmuje decyzje o terminie i wielkości dostawy. Zastosowanie koncepcji VMI pozwala na obniżenie kosztów wynikające z efektywniejszego wykorzystania zasobów produkcyjnych i dystrybucyjnych. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono problemowi wyznaczania tras ładunków (ang. inventory routing problem, w skrócie IRP).
