Abstrakty
Opracowanie zawiera przegląd ponad 100 najnowszych badań empirycznych dotyczących wpływu różnych zmiennych na wzrost gospodarczy. Celem przeglądu literatury było wyznaczenie źródeł wzrostu gospodarczego, czyli czynników dodatnio wpływających na rozwój gospodarczy kraju. Na podstawie analizy badań empirycznych wyznaczyliśmy następujące czynniki wzrostu gospodarczego: (a) wysokie inwestycje w kapitał fizyczny (głównie w infrastrukturę) oraz wysokie bezpośrednie inwestycje zagraniczne; (b) wysokie inwestycje w kapitał ludzki (w edukację i ochronę zdrowia); (c) rozwój sektora finansowego; (d) rozwój handlu zagranicznego; (e) mały rozmiar sektora państwowego; (f) wysoki zakres wolności gospodarczej; (g) stabilność polityczna; (h) brak nierówności (m.in. dochodowych). The main aim of the article is to identify those factors that might explain the differences in growth rates of individual countries. Empirical results suggest that the most important determinants of economic growth are: a) physical capital investments (especially in infrastructure), b) human capital investment (health and education expenditure), c) financial sector development, d) international trade, government sector (possibly small), f) economic freedom, g) political stability, absence of the high inequalities in incomes and personal property.
