While analysing Europe of the beginning of the 21st century as "Europe of changes", and at the same time regarding the dynamic changes going on in the whole world, it is necessary, in our opinion, to evaluate the trend in the European development, which influences and will keep influencing the general character and prospects for economic and political relations in Europe (and the world as a whole) - the introduction and development of the euro zone. In this case, the introduction, functioning and development of the euro zone act as a component part of a more general process of the EU expansion (yet having definite autonomy). (fragment of text)
