Artykuł omawia zagadnienia związane z rozwojem sektora MSP w perspektywie integracji Polski z Unią Europejską. Przedstawiono stymulujące i hamujące czynniki, które stanowią potencjalne konsekwencje integracji w perspektywach rozwojowych MSP.

This paper aims to present a difficult process of transformation that Polish economy has undergone in 90-ties, is still undergoing and will have to face on its way to the EU. As statistic data confirms, the sector of small and average enterprises play the key role in the national economy. On the one hand small and medium size enterprises, constitute the main source of economic growth, representing almost a half of our economy potential, on the other hand, they are the main factor limiting unemployment. Therefore, the main purpose of the state policy on SME, as in many economies, is to create good conditions to shape and use the development potential of the SME sector. (original abstract)
