Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie konsekwencji wprowadzenia euro - korzyści i kosztów oraz szans i zagrożeń. Autorka podkreśla, że bilans korzyści i kosztów potwierdza słuszność decyzji o kontynuacji procesu integracyjnego na obszarze Unii Europejskiej - o integracji walutowej.

This article presents all the most important consequences of the euro introducing for EU economies - both: advantages and disadvantages. And there is no doubt that the euro is a great challenge that also brings many threats. But there are more benefits than costs and that's why the single currency has been introduced; though the allocation of those benefits will depend on how the different countries get adapted to the new situation. That's why it's necessary for Poland and other candidates countries to research how the monetary integration will influence on their economies - it will help to prepare and to choose the right moment for the transitioning the national currency over to the euro.
