The article presents the findings from the sample survey (n = 2 203) of small and medium enterprises operating in Poland. The study shows that there were distinctive segments (micro firms, small businesses and medium-sized enterprises) that had significantly different levels of usage of banking services. The likelihood of using banking services increased with firm size. Medium enterprises were more likely to use credits, time deposits and debit cards than small firms and micro firms.
