Autor podjął próbę opisu tendencji i prawidłowości, a także prognoz rozwoju rynku mieszkaniowego, a w szczególności popytu mieszkaniowego w oparciu o metodę modelowania ekonometrycznego.

The paper presents remarks and conclusions being the result of the studies on the functioning and forecasting of the housing market when transforming the economic system, carried out under the direction of Prof. E. Rychlewski. The paper presents, in a synthetic form, system-wide conditions of modelling, principles of model constructions, and interpretations of the selected models of the demand for accomodation units estimated as linear and involutionary dependencies. The demand for accomodation units is represented mainly by the value of the stock of housing, which is determined by the following variables: real and nominal incomes, average monthly wages, number of population and level of employment, rate of increase in incomes, inflation, prices of consumer goods, prices of building objects, and delayed values of the stock of housing and incomes.(original abstract)
