W artykule podjęto próbę określenia wpływu suburbanizacji na przestrzenny rozwój sektora usług w Polsce. Analizie poddano wpływ migracji na rozwój gospodarczy, rynek pracy oraz liczbę podmiotów gospodarczych. (fragment tekstu)

The paper assess the impact of migration on development of services in the subur-ban areas of metropolitan regions in Poland. The study was conducted for the seven metropolitan areas for the years 2000-2010. As an area of study were chosen NUTS 3 subregions around the metropolitan city. There were analyzed changes in the share of services in gross value added, employment in services and the number of service opera-tors by NACE section. It has been shown relation between migration to suburban areas and the development of selected groups of services. The largest correlation was for non-market services. The counties located in the nearest distance from the city center, which also focused on migration from urban areas, were characterized by the biggest dynamics of development of services. Warsaw was the region with the highest dynamics of devel-opment, while cities like Szczecin and Lodz facing economic crisis, had smaller rate of growth than other metropolitan areas.
