The growing globalization of financial markets influences the increase in market conditions volatility, which in turn, triggers the rise in the risk of running business. The bare necessity for companies operating in a more and more volatile market environment is the introduction of new risk management methods and instruments. Option are a very attractive instrument of risk management since the option holder has the right, not an insurance instrument. The option holder gets a guarantee to be able to exercise the contact, i.e. the price at which the underlying instrument can be bought (call option) or sold (put option) is guaranteed.
