Abstrakty
Takie ujęcie, wbrew wielu interpretacjom, oznacza uznanie, że twórcy nowej ekonomii instytucjonalnej nawiązują bezpośrednio do ekonomii Smitha, pośrednio do Veblena, natomiast ekonomia neoklasyczna oznaczała ewolucję niezgodną z fundamentami myśli założyciela ekonomii. EN
Focusing on normative issues, some of the authors assert that New Institutional Economics is still an elaboration of neoclassical analysis. In the article it is presented a view that this opinion is not right. In Coase's and North's works we can find hard core of Smithian and institutional tradition. The founders of new institutional economics have refused the notion of individual agent as utility-maximizing and they have paid attention of mainstream economists on institutional environment of economic decisions. They have recognized coordination of human actions in the economy and politics as the main subject of economic research. It does mean, that there are intellectual lineages among neo-institutional, Smithian and Veblenian approach. From the other side, it means that neoclassical economics has been a result of evolution of economic thought which was inconsistent with Smith's ideas. (original abstract)
