Praca przedstawia naturalne wielowymiarowe uogólnienie znanej jednowymiarowej nierówności Czebyszewa. Uogólnienie to wykorzystuje nową definicję momentów wektora losowego, zaproponowaną przez J. Tatara [2], a odwołującą się do pojęcia potęgi wektora w przestrzeni Huberta. (abstrakt oryginalny)
In this paper we give generalizations of the Hadamard-type inequalities for fractional integrals. As special cases we derive several Hadamard type inequalities. (original abstract)
Przedstawiono dwie hipotezy A. Smoluka. Jedna z nich dotyczy przedstawienie koła w języku wariacyjnym, a druga stanowi uogólnienie pierwszego.
Some new Ostrowski's inequalities for functions whose nthderivative are logarithmically convex are established. (original abstract)
Several bounds of trigonometric-exponential and hyperbolic-expo-nential type for sinc and hyperbolic sinc functions are presented. In an attempt to generalize the results, some known inequalities are sharpened and extended. Hyperbolic versions are also established, along with extensions.(original abstract)
Przedstawiliśmy definicję i twierdzenie dotyczące funkcji poseparowalnych Neumana I rodzaju.
Przytoczone zostały mniej znane możliwości zastosowań nierówności m.in.: do badania, czy para spełniająca odpowiednie założenie tworzy parę korelacyjną.
Poniższy artykuł ma na celu pokazanie, że w zadaniu programowania geometrycznego można wprowadzić ograniczenie równościowe, wymaga to jedynie zmiany warunków dotyczących znaku zmiennych i innego sformułowania funkcji kryterium. W celu zapewnienia samowystarczalności tekstu zaczniemy od przypomnienia nierówności geometrycznej i najpopularniejszej wersji programowania geometrycznego. (fragment tekstu)
Some inequalities of Hermite-Hadamard type for GA-convex functions defined on positive intervals are given. (original abstract)
In this research we deal with algebraic properties and characterizations of convex functions in the context of a time scale; this notion of convexity has been studied for some other authors but the setting of properties are establish here. Moreover, characterizations, a separation theorem and an inequality of Jensen type for this class of functions are shown as well. (original abstract)
In this paper we consider the hypo-q-operator norm and hypo-q-numerical radius on a Cartesian product of algebras of bounded linear operators on Banach spaces. A representation of these norms in terms of semi-inner products, the equivalence with the q-norms on a Cartesian product and some reverse inequalities obtained via the scalar reverses of Cauchy-Buniakowski-Schwarz inequality are also given. (original abstract)
In this paper, we present the Sugeno integral of Hermite-Hadamard inequality for the case of quasi-arithmetically convex (q-ac) functions which acts as a generator for all quasi-arithmetic means in the frame work of Sugeno integral.(original abstract)
Recently, Bród introduced a new Jacobsthal-type sequence which is called r-Jacobsthal sequence in current study. After defining the appropriate r-Jacobsthal-Lucas sequence for the r-Jacobsthal sequence, we obtain some properties of these two sequences. For simpler results, we define two new sequences and examine their properties, too. Finally, we generalize some well-known identities.(original abstract)
A generalization of the Hermite-Hadamard (HH) inequality for a positive convex stochastic process, by means of a newly proposed fractional integral operator, is hereby established. Results involving the Riemann- Liouville, Hadamard, Erdélyi-Kober, Katugampola, Weyl and Liouville fractional integrals are deduced as particular cases of our main result. In addition, we also apply some known HH results to obtain some estimates for the expectations of integrals of convex and p-convex stochastic processes. As a side note, we also pointed out a mistake in the main result of the paper [Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities, convex stochastic processes and Katugampola fractional integral, Revista Integración, temas de matemáticas 36 (2018), no. 2, 133-149]. We anticipate that the idea employed herein will inspire further research in this direction. (original abstract)
The Eighth Debrecen - Katowice Winter Seminar on Functional Equations and Inequalities was held in Poroszló, Hungary, from January 30 to February2, 2008, at Fűzfa Pihenőpark. It was organized by the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Debrecen, with the financial support of the Hungarian Scientific Research Fund OTKA T- 043080. 24 participants came from the University of Debrecen (Hungary) and the Silesian University of Katowice (Poland) at 12 from each of both cities. Professor Zsolt Páles opened the Seminar and welcomed the participants to Poroszló.The scientific talks presented at the Seminar focused on the following topics: equations in a single variable and in several variables, iteration theory, equations on algebraic structures, regularity properties of the solutions of certain functional equations, functional inequalities, Hyers - Ulam stability, functional equations and inequalities involving mean values, generalized convexity. Interesting discussions were generated by the talks. There were three very profitable Problem Sessions. (fragment of text)
Fejér-type inequalities as well as some refinement and a discrete version of the Hermite-Hadamard inequalities for strongly convex functions are presented. (original abstract)
