W artykule dokonano analizy budżetów gminnych na przykładzie miast województwa krakowskiego w 1991 roku. Celem analizy jest przedstawienie przestrzennego zróżnicowania dochodów i wydatków budżetowych jako pewnego instrumentu zarządzania miastem.

The aim of the present analysis has been the presentation of the differences with respect to income and budget expenditure between particular cities in the Province of Krakow. The paper consists of two parts. In the first part the author has discussed the management of finances which is carried out in line with the Budget Law of 1991.currently In force. Parishes' own revenues, general subsidies as well as loans and credits drawn and securities issued have been considered. In the second part of the article the author has analyzed the revenues and expenditure of all the cities of the Kraków Province in 1991, and included an estimation of how they differ in the particular parts of the voivodship. The conclusions drawn from the analysis support the assumption that more reforms are needed in the management of the parishes. (original abstract)
